Sit N Go math is one of the simplest forms of math to do in poker. And because of this, it’s much easier to make multitable Sit n Gos. Here’s why. In the early rounds your decisions are easy. It’s either raise or fold. You’ll not be calling much at all in the early rounds bar a small pocket pair that you call with early for set value.
Then you move into the middle rounds. Again, your strategy is generally the same. You’ll open your range up a bit, but it’s still generally tight and aggressive. The key here is to let the other players beat each other up. Believe me, once their patience starts running thin, you’ll start to see tight online poker players become loose donks, and again your role is simply to keep a viable stack, and let them beat each other out.
Finally, when you get to late game, you’ll have a good enough idea of the players to know what you can profitably call with and stack off with. After enough experience, you’ll end up being able to play them on auto-pilot. And come out with a decent win rate.
But that’s not the biggest benefit of multitabling SnGs. While you’ll soon get the math down in regards to the blinds and your stack off range, you don’t need near as big a bankroll to play in SnGs and make a profit as you do in ring games.
The general rule is 20-30 buy ins. So if you’re playing 2 dollar SnGs, you only need 60 dollars for your 30 buy-ins. If you were playing ring games, 60 dollars would barely be enough for your to play at the .01/.02 level. So if you’re looking to build a bankroll fast with the least amount of risk and variance, smaller SnGs may be the way to go for you when you play poker online.

Graduation day is one of the most important days in anyone’s life. And graduation party favors can make it an ultra special occasion. They can, in fact, make it the most memorable occasion possible. High school graduation, for instance, is a huge deal. For the purposes of example, let’s say your daughter just graduated from high school. Throwing a party is a chance to get her and all her friends from school together for one last big hurrah before they all go off to their “adult” lives. You can go all out with a high school graduation bash.
How? Well, for starters, did you know you can decorate the exterior of your house with graduation party supplies? For instance, one great idea is to decorate the driveway, the front of the house, et cetera, with pennants from your kid’s school, and even the little pom poms most schools supply. Naturally, you can decorate with lots of balloons as well.
Inside the house is where you can really go crazy. You can continue the theme by decorating the walls with pennants and pom poms, and scatter balloons throughout the house. Decorations can also include crepe paper streamers in the appropriate school colors. This theme can continue on through the plates, napkins, cups, tablecloths, etc. It is a good idea to have a sign in book for a graduation party too; afterwards, your special grad will have a really great keepsake.
Was your graduate in the high school band? Did she play high school or basketball or some other sport? Is she a big reader, was she in any clubs? You can make the theme match her favorite activities from high school. For instance, if she was in the marching band, your graduation party favors can also include little instruments as place settings. Anything that the guests can take away with them is a great idea as well - then they will always have something to remember the party by, too!

As an average poker player, I try to avoid poker sharks at all costs. If you are anything like me, your poker online experience can be vastly improved by knowing where the sharks swim. I don’t want to give them any possible advantage. If I had my way, I would never even encounter poker shark when I play. Because this is not an option I need to stay informed. Knowing where they are is the first step to avoiding these predatory online poker players.
The thing about sharks is that they feed off of the inexperienced fish that are not well educated enough in poker knowledge to keep their money. This means that they will always be found where there are a large number of new and foolish players. Typically, this means the lowest limit tables available in the casino. Most new players start off with the low tables so that they build up their confidence. Many are not able to do this, however, because the sharks are swimming in the low tables. I would strongly suggest that you up the ante and move on to a slightly higher stake. The sharks just don’t swim at the higher stakes. Avoid where the sharks swim and you will walk home with more money in your pocket.

Goldman Sachs, a US investment bank, is predicting that online poker for US citizens will be legalized eventually and regulated by the US government. Using the Party Poker Gaming Network as a sample, the firm has concluded that just with it’s 9% market share, such a site would genereate billions for the economy just in rake alone. If the US were to legalize poker online , the investment giant estimates that the poker industry alone would be worth close to 3 billion dollars. They took their research a little further and concluded that the average make off of each player for the government coffers would be just over 300 dollars per player. And if such a legalization were to go one step further, such as including online casinos with games such as blackjack and roulette, then the worth would skyrocket up 4x to about 12 billion. Sachs predicts that such a lift and reregulation would help several sites that have proprietary software, such as Everest Poker, as they would grow in popularity if they were allowed to operate without restrictions in the US. Though the process is to be a slow one, with legislation being pushed back to September so far, the lure of tax revenue will eventually push the US to legalize online poker, making not only the players happy, but the market itself more competitive.

Four of a kind in online poker occurs when a player’s hand contains all four cards of a single rank, such as 7 7 7 7. The fifth card in the hand, known as the kicker, only plays in the event that both players have the same four of a kind, which could only occur if the event that there are wild cards, or if the four of a kind are all on the community board. Two hands with the same four of a kind would then go to showdown based on who has the highest kicker.
Four of a kind beats all forms of online poker hands except for straight flushes. In the instance that there are two four of a kinds in the same showdown, the hand whose rank value is higher wins the pot (four fours beats four threes, four threes, beats four deuces, etc.).
Another name for four of a kind is commonly quads.
The probability of being dealt quads in a single hand of poker online is roughly 0.024%. Though this is still clearly rare, most regular players likely will make the hand a good number of times in their career. Usually when you do, you can feel the lights turn on inside you, knowing it is almost guaranteed you are going to win the pot.

Monte Carlo is one of the world’s most widely recognized gambling and poker havens in the world. It is known particularly well for its high class gambling and gambling with outrageous stakes. If you are really into poker, or any gambling of any form, Monte Carlo is the place to go. For the modern online gambler, however, Monte Carlo is not exactly the poker vision that it used to be. After all, if you can get classic poker glamour from your own computer, why do you need to travel all the way across the world to go to Monte Carlo? Let me just tell you, people don’t go to Monte Carlo just for the online pokergames. The games are great- but the real thing is the atmosphere. It is the traditional haunt of royalty and the elite, and if you can afford the plane ticket- you could be the next poker megastar. There are ways to reach the classic haunt of the gambling elite even without buying a plane ticket. You can reach Monte Carlo through your online poker playing alone just by reaching the grand final of the European Poker Tour. Some online casinos try to replicate the luxury of Monte Carlo in digital form, although not always successfully. Monte Carlo also hosts the World Backgammon Championship if you are interested in other forms of gambling.

Here at the bowling center I usually find a part-time bowler eager to take on real bowling competitively for the first time. Should that be the case, you’re in the midsts of a key turning point in building fundamental skills as a serious bowling competitor. Read carefuly, ’cause our bowling pro shop’s introduction to the Top 5 Bowling Tips shouldn’t be ignored. Pros at a nearby bowling pro shop want bowlers harness bowling zen mental toughness. A wise bowling wizard once said: roll strikes if can spare ‘em (hehe). I kid. Fine, so it’s more complicated than that. It’s all good, we’ll have you rolling with the proper steps to bowling greatness.
No use putting it off, buy your own custom fit bowling balls, bowling ball bags, and shoes needed to do this right. Fit is important. I promise, get your private ball drilled, and your game will benefit. A properly drilled bowling ball can make a substantial improvement in your game. Of course another critical matter is sliding out your final step in actual bowling shoes which are in good condition.
After you may have previous bought your bowling ball and shoes, here’s the number two piece of bowling advice: taking aim. When you face the pins, don’t necessarily roll the ball at the actual pins. Aim for the the arrows like a gunsight. What’s the point? It’s less difficult to roll through a target that is nearer. To get the most out of your aim, make sure you begin your approach at the a consistent place on the floor each time. Roll from the same place, in the same way and you can fine-tune your aim using the arrows in the lane.
What about spin, for their desired pin action? That makes our bowling tip #3. They get traction with the pricy reactive ball. Actually, us who were bown to bowl regularly roll two or three bowling balls to pull off ridiculous pin action, according to the lane. But begginers should not try to be fancy, and avoid a ball that is too heavy for you. Many pro bowlers roll bowling balls with extra expert grip. But these balls often make even some well known bowlers seem silly. And that does it for our first three bowling tips. A pro from our bowling shop will return shortly.
Thanks, George Hulen
My family and I bowl with the recreational league a group from the guys and gals at our marketing business just outside Cincinnati. I chime in with tips to novice bowlers at my blog and at the lanes. Lastly, I should give a shout out to our crew heading into tournament play.

poker online is a gambling game, and those who play it are always taking a risk, sometimes big and sometimes small. If you are playing nickel-dime poker online, you are only risking a few dollars at best. When you play no-limit, you can lose lots of money.
How can poker players justify ever losing money playing cards? For some - those who have a gambling problem - there is no justification. But other players make reasoned decisions about why they put money at risk on the green felt.
There is no doubt that even the best poker players sometime lose. It is part of the game. Anyone who has played enough has experienced the bad beat where great cards and the best decision-making still get smashed by a long-shot river card.
Poker players are consciously assuming that risk to pursue the game the love. When a hand backfires, and their strategy fails, there are often lessons to learn that yield insights on how to improve their game. Looking at poker as one long-term effort instead of obsessing over every loss is basically seeing the whole orchard instead of focusing on a few bad apples.
Acknowledging that we take risks everyday in life - be it taking a new job, pursuing a romance, or choosing which road to take - allows people to undertake challenges with unpredictable results. In poker, one sometimes has to go out on a limb. By recognizing and accepting the risks inherent in poker, the player can be at peace with the bad beats and bruised bankrolls, and continue to engage in the activity they love.

Last month we reported on the decline of revenue for the Brick and Mortar casino and poker business. Now, it’s the middle of October, and we’re revisiting to see if anything has changed.
Well it has, but again for the worse. Perhaps it’s the fear of the global recession, the loss of jobs, or the inability to draw new poker players because the money’s just not there.
For the online casinos, the problem is not as pronounced, but for the brick and mortars, there are several factors coming into play.
First is the price of gas, it’s continually on the rise and not looking to come down anytime soon. That, and airfare had gone up, along with the general cost of living, making the disposable income harder to come by, and ever harder to part with in a casino.
But the poker players still have hope. One member of the two plus two forum summed it up most eloquently. We as players usually know how well we’re doing, actually we know how (not) well we’re doing. But some of us, the hard core gamers, will continue to prosper, and thus, you’ll still have the opportunity to gamble if you really want to.
And for the player’s here on the net, the playing field’s never looked better. Expect to see more of the poker passionate begin to fill the ranks of the virtual tables, as travel becomes more and more expensive. And for you, that means more of a chance to win more money.
